OMä FW 2020-21

It is no longer a secret that Meital Weinberg-Adar is one of the busiest and most prolific women in the Israeli fashion arena, and as some of our readers know by now, after a particularly successful ‘baptism of fire’ alongside veteran designer Ronen Chen, whom she refers to as her mentor, her own brand Oma has taken wings and continue to generate a well-deserved buzz amongst fashion lovers (mostly women, but also some brave and experimental men) from a wide range of body shapes and ages.

Nowadays, she releases new items for fall-winter 2020-21, and consistent with the previous collection, these items caresses the contours of the body to allow comfort for those who wear it, all in loose fits with rubber at the waist. Materials are ranging from Tricot to Silk and from Cotton to Linen, these are items that you can throw yourself on the couch with, but also leave the house at a moment’s notice.

Weinberg’s uniqueness lies in her approach to fashion, focusing on comfort and effortlessness, without compromising the overall appearance, never shabby or without thought. Her many years working in the industry, once as a model and later as a brand consultant, taught her how to optimize high-end designs, make it affordable but also approachable, without jeopardizing the brand’s integrity.

The brand draws inspiration from “dreamy, distant resorts” – a concept that eluded us all – this year in particular. The result is a diverse collection of items that anyone who follows Weinberg’s Instagram (@mmmwa) will immediately recognize. It is a collection with nonchalant elegance, minimalist cleanliness, sophisticated basics, timeless items with surprising colors and prints.

Available on omaisawoman.com, and inside designer Ronen Chen’s stores around the country.
