Last December, the fashionable sports brand Puma announced the renewal of the collaboration with Rihanna, alongside their ongoing collaboration with the beauty brand owned by her “FENTY”, in which the star was appointed to the position of art director of the brand’s women’s and children’s fashion. The re-connection was born with the aim of recreating the CREEPERS shoes in up-to-date versions.

In the first drop of the shoe, about seven and a half years ago, the design was a dizzying and unprecedented success, and the shoe sold out in less than 40 minutes, which at the time resulted in an impressive achievement and made the first drop of the design the fastest sold-out ever. Following the success, the design won the title of “Shoe of the Year” in 2016 and highlighted the influence of the Puma company on sneaker culture and the world of fashion.

The new design now launched under the name “Creeper Phatty”, keeps the classic and familiar design of the shoe, but also gives it new elements such as a golden logo.

Puma and Rihanna connected with nature and earth and chose a natural and soft color palette inspired by them. The shoes are introduced through a mesmerizing photo series that combines refined vegetation alongside wilder vegetation.

The production also includes an unforgettable image of Riri herself engulfed in grass, plants and branches.
