CASTRO KIDS JOINS FORCES WITH LEKET ISRAEL

A holiday collection that brings together fashion, community and social responsibility.

For its latest holiday campaign, Castro Kids is looking beyond the traditional fashion set. Ahead of the Tishrei holiday season, the Israeli fashion house chose to photograph its new children’s collection at the logistics center of Leket Israel, the country’s national food rescue organization, creating an unexpected meeting point between children’s fashion and a wider message of giving, responsibility and community.

The choice of location gives the campaign a purpose that extends beyond the clothes themselves. Against the backdrop of Leket Israel’s daily food rescue operation, Castro places its young cast inside a world built around collective action, introducing children and families to the idea that social responsibility can begin at any age.

At the heart of the collaboration is a simple message: doing good does not necessarily require a grand gesture. Children, too, can become aware of the world around them, take part in acts of giving, and understand that even small choices can have a meaningful impact.

Leket Israel rescues nutritious surplus agricultural produce and prepared food that would otherwise go to waste, distributing it through a nationwide network of nonprofit partners to people experiencing food insecurity. According to the organization’s 2025 figures, its network of 346 partner agencies reaches approximately 470,000 Israelis every week.

The collaboration also connects naturally to Leket Israel’s growing focus on education. Its Leket Briut nutrition education program, launched in 2022, combines healthy eating education with practical access to fresh rescued produce for children and their families. During the 2025 to 2026 school year, the initiative is operating in ten schools across Israel and supporting approximately 2,000 families.

For Castro, one of Israel’s most recognizable fashion names, the campaign presents an opportunity to give a seasonal collection a broader cultural context. Rather than treating social responsibility as an add-on, the imagery places it directly within the visual narrative of the collection, suggesting that fashion can be playful and desirable while still carrying a meaningful message.

Shiran Winter Siboni, Vice President of Marketing at Castro, said:

“Choosing Leket Israel as the location for the Castro Kids holiday campaign felt completely natural to us. Beyond the unique and powerful setting, it was important for us to connect the collection with values of giving, responsibility and mutual support. As an Israeli brand that has been part of families’ and children’s lives for many years, we believe fashion can also convey ideas and encourage conversation. Our connection with Leket Israel allows us to introduce a younger generation to meaningful social action and to remind them that even small choices and gestures can create significant change.”

Efrat Braunstein, Vice President of Marketing at Leket Israel, added:

“We are proud of our collaboration with Castro Kids and of their decision to choose Leket Israel as the location for the holiday collection campaign. There is something both symbolic and moving about bringing together two Israeli organizations, each contributing to Israeli society in its own way. We thank Castro Kids for the partnership and for choosing to highlight the values of giving, social responsibility, and preventing food waste. Together, we can expand that circle of influence and bring the story of Leket Israel to even more families across the country.”

The campaign ultimately gives the familiar concept of a holiday fashion shoot a different kind of resonance. The new Castro Kids collection may provide the visual story, but the setting offers its emotional core. In a season traditionally associated with family, renewal and generosity, the collaboration serves as a reminder that style and substance do not have to exist in separate worlds.

Fashion, at its most relevant, has always reflected more than what we wear. Here, it becomes a platform for introducing a younger generation to the values of awareness, responsibility, and giving, proving that sometimes the strongest statement in a campaign is the one that reaches beyond the clothes.
